This Burns Apache 50th Anniversary model pays tribute to the legendary guitar that made The Shadows great.

Only 500 were made in this beautiful Fiesta Red finish, and this is number 350 in this exclusive series. Complete with engraved signatures from Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch, this is a rare piece of British guitar history that will delight collectors and players alike!

In 1964, Burns introduced the Marvin, a guitar specially designed for Hank Marvin, lead guitarist of The Shadows. Using his Fender Stratocaster as a starting point, Jim Burns created an instrument with several improvements, including the Rez-o-Tube vibrato and Rez-o-Matik pickups. The name Apache for this anniversary model is a direct reference to The Shadows' biggest hit, which topped the UK charts for seven weeks in 1960.

Burns deliberately chose improvements over the original Marvin for this edition: a more stable alder body instead of the mahogany or obeche, a reinforced neck joint, and an ebony fingerboard with a compound radius for optimal playing comfort. The flamed maple neck has a comfortable C-profile, while the signature scroll headstock and three-piece pickguard give the guitar a unique look. The gold-plated hardware and engraved Rez-o-Tube vibrato system provide a luxurious finish. The three Rez-o-Matik pickups specially developed for this model deliver that characteristic bright and rich Shadows tone, with a warmth and richness that distinguishes it from a regular Stratocaster.

This 2008 Apache is in near-mint condition and combines vintage charm with modern reliability. With its rarity, historical significance, and excellent playability, this Apache is a special addition to any guitarist looking for something unique!
