Everly Guitars Ike Everly Model 1987
Fees & taxes
This Everly Ike Model is truly a special guitar! Built by the fantastic Robert Steinegger and signed by Don and Phil Everly themselves, this is a unique collector's item that crowns any collection!
During their career, the Everly Brothers loved playing Gibson J180s, the jumbo model distinguished by its large double pickguard.
This Everly Ike Model has a special history. The guitar was built in 1987 and belongs to a series of hand-built guitars of extraordinary quality. Only 57 examples of the model built under the name Everly Guitars were produced until production ceased in 2002, and this guitar is number 15 in the series.
The guitar came into the possession of two members of the Everly Brothers fan club in the late 1980s. In 1991, The Everly Brothers played a legendary concert in Maastricht organized by the Everly Brothers International fan club, and after this concert, Don and Phil Everly signed the guitar.
That the guitar has not been kept merely as a collector's item is evident from the wear marks on the body and top, but given the beautiful sound the guitar can be heard to that effect, this is entirely justified; this guitar sounds so good! Unfortunately, the pickguards are no longer fully attached to the top, but they can undoubtedly be neatly reassembled by a skilled luthier. The guitar is otherwise completely original.
This guitar has spent the past 33 years in its case and is now ready for the next chapter in its musical journey. The ultimate guitar for an Everly Brothers fan; this is an absolute bargain!
