The Fender American Vintage Reissue '62 Telecaster Custom from 2001 combines the no-nonsense Telecaster sound with refined looks.

The bound alder body in three-tone sunburst, mint green pickguard, and authentic '62 Custom pickups with vintage wiring make this a Tele that stands out both visually and sonically, without compromising the legendary simplicity of the original.

The Telecaster Custom was introduced in 1959 at the NAMM show as a more elegant take on the standard Telecaster, with the binding not only providing a stylish touch but also protecting the body edges. This 2001 AVRI closely follows the specifications of the 1962 model, including the vintage wiring that makes this Custom so special: the neck pickup can be used in two different ways, with or without tone controls, providing both a bright and dark vintage sound. The 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard and comfortable C-profile offer an authentic vintage feel, while the nitrocellulose lacquer ages just like the originals.

Showing only light playwear and complete with original accessories like the ashtray cover, this is a beautifully preserved example of an often-overlooked Telecaster variant that adds elegance to the robust Tele formula.
