Fender George Harrison Telecaster 2017
The 2017 Fender George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster honors the legendary Beatles guitarist with a replica of his iconic instrument.
The original Rosewood Telecaster was built for George Harrison in 1968 by luthier Roger Rossmeisl and became one of his favorite instruments during his solo career. Its unique all-rosewood construction gives the guitar a distinctive warm, rich character distinct from traditional Telecasters.
For this tribute, Fender chambered the body to reduce weight and increase resonance while preserving the authentic tone. The American Vintage '64 Gray Bottom Tele pickups deliver the classic bright Telecaster tone, but with the added warmth and depth of the rosewood. The mid-'60s C-profile and 9.5" radius fingerboard provide excellent playing comfort, faithful to the specifications of the Harrison original but with modern playability.
The guitar has minimal playmarks on the pickguard, and a small discoloration of the lacquer near the strap button In near mint condition, this is a beautiful example of this special tribute to one of rock's most influential guitarists.
